During this process, you will need to provide information about your current source of income based on you and any other members of your household who have income. This can be done with pay stubs, Ontario Works stubs, O.D.S.P. stubs, pension stubs. A letter from an employer or agency may be presented to verify source of income when a stub is not available. Placing and Picking Up Hamper Orders
Registered clients qualify for a hamper no fewer than 7 days since their last hamper pick-up. On a week you need a hamper, please call 223-3881, on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday morning between 9:00am - 11:30am. We will schedule a time for you to pick up a hamper that afternoon from 12:00pm - 3:00 pm. If you do not have access to a phone, you may book a hamper in person before 11:30 on a pick-up day. For security and safety reasons, we cannot book orders left over voicemail.
Food hampers contain 5 days of supplementary food assistance depending on availability. They are not designed to be your only source of groceries for the week. Hampers are packed with various grocery items based on what food we have on hand. We do not guarantee the quality or quantity of any food items given out.
Clients receive a hamper based on their size of household. If there is anything in your hamper that you do not think you will use, please consider leaving it behind so we can give it to another person.
If for some reason, you cannot attend Dryden Food Bank on the day of your scheduled pick up order, we ask you to phone 807-223-3881 to cancel your order. If you are having someone else pick up your hamper, you must give that name to the registration person. We cannot give a hamper to a "pick up person" not listed on our hamper sheet. If you have phoned for an appointment to pick up a hamper, but cannot make it or will be late, please call and let us know.
